Conceal and Carry in Kansas

Well, the people we sent to Topeka to represent us overturned the Governor's veto last night, so Kansas now has a conceal and carry law. You may ask, "why?" Well, that would be a good question. I wish I had a good answer.

I grew up around guns. I have no problems with guns. I've used them. I'm pretty decent with them. I used to be a very good shot, and have little doubt I could be a good one again.
If I decided to do that, I'm not sure why I'd need to conceal the weapon.

This is one of those "all or nothing" things to me. Either it's a good idea or a bad idea - it can't be both. When you start making exceptions - schools, court houses, libraries and churches - you're telling me it's really not a good idea. So, why do we want to have guns at the local gas station, movie house or sports arena?

Do people who frequent libraries really seem more dangerous than people who frequent bars?

Does it seem like a good idea to let fans of various teams all carry in concealed weapons? These are the same anger-management-challenged people who get into fist fights. What could possibly go wrong there?
